The Amelia County Historical Society was founded in 1958 and is located in the Jackson Building in Amelia Courthouse, VA.  The object, priority, and functions of the Society are to discover, procure, preserve and archive whatever may relate to the natural, civic, architectural and literary history of Amelia County, Virginia and to have available this material for study and research.
